Arid Lands Information Network-Eastern Africa (ALIN-EA) is a non-profit, non-political NGO, which promotes exchange of ideas and experiences among development workers in the Arid and Semi-arid Lands (ASALs) of Eastern Africa. Currently the Network has 1000 members working hand-in-hand with communities in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia. The Network draws its membership among Community Development Workers (CDWs) in the East African drylands. ALIN draws its membership from CDWs working in government departments, non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations.
